The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Utah at a distance.

Phillips has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Utah is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Phillips closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Utah really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
