Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexandre Dumas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cullen Castrello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dumas's entrance music is The Writer. A fine choice. Castrello has chosen Like 70 as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexandre Dumas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cullen Castrello!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castrello feints and then cracks Dumas's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dumas down.
Castrello connects with an inside leg kick.
Castrello lunges at Dumas with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Dumas's hand.
Castrello loads up on a big right hand but Dumas slips the punch.
Dumas has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Castrello scores with a push kick.
Dumas uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Castrello.
Castrello misses with a two punch combination.
Dumas with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Castrello misses with an uppercut.
Castrello misses with a looping right.
Castrello lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nice defenses there by Castrello.
Dumas swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cullen Castrello is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Castrello jabs Dumas right on the nose. Dumas blinks but takes it well.

Dumas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Castrello looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Castrello sneaks back into half guard.

Castrello is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Dumas is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Castrello is trying to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Castrello has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dumas is working away from the top position though.
Castrello really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dumas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Castrello is defending against the submission attempts here by Dumas.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Castrello is looking to improve his position.

Dumas is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Dumas is working for a kimura but Castrello is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Castrello keeping hold of Dumas's head, controlling as best he can.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Dumas has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Castrello defend it? Dumas steps over the head and cranks it - Castrello is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Dumas!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Alexandre Dumas!
