Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rubicon Brandy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Micheal London! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brandy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Brandy is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. London keeping moving, preventing Brandy from controlling successfully. London looking to control.
Brandy postures up in London's guard and throws a big left but London blocks it. London wants to sweep here but Brandy controlling him for the moment. Brandy has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Brandy landing some decent shots from guard. Brandy trying to control the position from guard on top but London is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brandy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Brandy throws a big elbow that misses. London manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brandy manages to get himself to full guard.

London is looking to work some ground and pound but Brandy has wrist control. London trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. London works over Brandy with some ground and pound from guard. London keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Brandy's head. Brandy trying to control the position.

Brandy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brandy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. London defends it easily. London is stalling in the full guard. Brandy wants to sweep here but London controlling him for the moment. Brandy has momentary wrist control but London slips an elbow through the middle. London passes easily into side control. Nice work. London working the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. London tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Brandy on the wrong end of some ground and pound. London working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

London works to advance to full mount. Brandy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brandy regains half guard. Brandy moves into full guard.
London makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. London postures up and lands a big shot to Brandy's brow. This has been an exciting period of action! London is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. London connects with a couple of short punches. London distracts Brandy with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. London pushing down on Brandy's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Brandy looking for submissions from an awkward position here. London trying to mount his opponent but Brandy defends it. Brandy tries to get to full guard but London has control of the leg. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! London tries to pass the half guard into mount. Brandy knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Micheal London dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Brandy keeps London at a distance using the push kick. Brandy gets a takedown into half guard. Brandy trying to control from half guard but London is working away. London wants to get back to full guard. Brandy is looking to take a break and control but London is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. London tries to get to full guard but Brandy has control of the leg. London is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. London makes his way to full guard. A much better position for London.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brandy won't allow London to sweep him here. London controls Brandy momentarily but Brandy frees himself. Micheal London has got the better of the ground game so far. Brandy drops back looking for a leg! London is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and London manages to kick Brandy off! Brandy jumps back into London's guard. London utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Brandy wants to control from the top but London keeps moving. Brandy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. London looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brandy trying to control the position from guard on top but London is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We're going to have a standup here because Rubicon Brandy wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. London will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A chopping leg kick lands by Brandy. London shoots for a double leg takedown but Brandy sprawls well. He's pushed London's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Brandy shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! London preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. London has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brandy is working away from the top position though. Brandy thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Brandy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
London is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brandy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed London's head. London taking some punishment here, with Brandy in his half guard. London is holding on to half guard well. Brandy wants to pass to mount but London is defending the position. Brandy looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Brandy prevents London from improving his position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brandy missing with the ground and pound from half guard. London regains full guard. Nicely done. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rubicon Brandy dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Brandy lands with an uppercut that bounces London off the cage and back into range. London changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brandy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Brandy takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. London trying to control the position but Brandy is working away. Brandy sneaks back into half guard. Brandy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. London is working away from the top position though. Ground and pound from London. Brandy wants to improve his position but London is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round. London lands a couple of elbows. Brandy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. London gets back to full guard.
Brandy throws a big right hand that misses. London wants to sweep here but Brandy controlling him for the moment. London working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Brandy. London wants to hit a switch here but Brandy passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for London there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. London sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. London has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brandy is working away from the top position though. London regains full guard. Nicely done. London looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Brandy trying to control the position from guard on top but London is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brandy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. London working a defensive guard here.

Brandy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. London gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. London wants to control from the top but Brandy keeps moving. London is looking to work some ground and pound but Brandy has wrist control. Brandy keeping moving, preventing London from controlling successfully. London throws a big right hand that misses. Brandy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. London not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Brandy stalling away here and it's allowed London to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brandy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Brandy trying to control the position from guard on top but London is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. London wants to sweep but no luck.
