Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heimo Hulahula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Monterrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Monterrey! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Monterrey. Those never looked like landing. Monterrey throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hulahula stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Hulahula keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Monterrey scores with a nice right hand.
Monterrey moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Monterrey bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hulahula's head. Hulahula tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Monterrey uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hulahula. This has been an exciting period of action! Monterrey connects with the punch. Monterrey connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hulahula. Hulahula circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Monterrey lands a nice shot that snaps Hulahula's head back.
Monterrey tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Monterrey lands a jab to the nose. Hulahula tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. A telegraphed right hand from Monterrey misses the target. Monterrey lands a body shot.
Monterrey swings for the body but Hulahula moves out of range.
Monterrey is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Monterrey explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. John Monterrey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Monterrey tries a head kick but it misses.
Monterrey lands the left hand. Monterrey bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hulahula's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Monterrey connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hulahula momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Monterrey uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Monterrey lands a nice hook to Hulahula's body. Hulahula takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Nice defenses there by Hulahula. Monterrey connects with a right hand. Hulahula shakes it off. Monterrey misses with a lunging right hand
and Hulahula counters with a thumping low kick. Monterrey thows a body shot but no joy. Monterrey moves into the clinch. Monterrey lands a left hand.

Monterrey tries to land knees in the clinch but Hulahula avoids the damage to the body. Monterrey using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hulahula has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monterrey is looking to control Hulahula's arms but Hulahula gets an underhook and turns him. Now Monterrey has his back to the cage. Hulahula has had enough of the clinch but Monterrey keeps him there for the moment. Monterrey utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Hulahula blocks an elbow strike from Monterrey.

Monterrey is looking to break free of the clinch but Hulahula has double underhooks. Monterrey lands an elbow inside. Hulahula blocks a body shot from Monterrey. Hulahula blocks an uppercut.
Hulahula takes a knee to the side of the body. Hulahula is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice elbow from Monterrey. Monterrey lands a knee to the head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Monterrey misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hulahula.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Monterrey creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Nice elbow from Monterrey. Hulahula takes a shot to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Monterrey dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hulahula misses with a body shot.
Monterrey sizes up Hulahula with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Monterrey takes a swing at Hulahula's ribcage but misses. Monterrey tries to close the distance and clinch but Hulahula swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nice straight punches there by Monterrey. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Monterrey.
Hulahula is rocked! Monterrey throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Hulahula makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Oh Hulahula is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Monterrey fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hulahula manages to avoid it. Hulahula seems to have got his legs back now. Hulahula showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Monterrey.
Monterrey tests Hulahula's chin there with a solid looking shot. That kick from Monterrey tenderised Hulahula's leg. Hulahula is trying to keep his angry face on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monterrey cracks the inside of Hulahula's front leg. Monterrey lands a big right hand that sends Hulahula crashing to the mat! Monterrey stays standing though and waves Hulahula back to his feet! John Monterrey seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Monterrey takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Monterrey fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Hulahula to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Hulahula looks to clinch but Monterrey throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Hulahula taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
