Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Augustus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Augustus comes into the arena with Rebel Rouser blaring out of the sound system. Askren has chosen Kanye West-Stronger as his entrance music. Ben Askren is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alexander Augustus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Askren!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Askren throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Augustus's waist but Augustus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Askren off to one side.
Askren shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Augustus as he jumps to the side.
Augustus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Askren shoots in but no luck this time.
Alexander Augustus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Askren.

and Augustus moves into the clinch.

and Askren takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Augustus darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Augustus is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Askren is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Augustus will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Augustus with the ground and pound but Askren uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Augustus has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Askren has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Augustus should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Askren has tightened it up now! Augustus should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Ben Askren thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Alexander Augustus had this to say: 'I am coming back, I am still a champ!'.
