Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Stien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cage comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cage Theme. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 39 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Cage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Stien!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage lands with a slapping head kick.


It looks like Ben Stien has been cut.
Stien stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cage.
Cage lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Cage shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Stien has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Cage gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Cage is looking to score with low kicks.
Stien swings for the body but Cage moves out of range.
Cage lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cage stuffs the takedown.
Stien shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cage as he jumps to the side.
Stien shoots in but no luck this time.
Johnny Cage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Stien.
Cage uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stien.
Stien walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ben Stien wasn't active enough on the ground.
Stien looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

A good leg kick by Cage.
Stien closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cage circles away.
Cage lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Cage lands a front kick.
Cage will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cage walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Cage feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Stiens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cage turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Johnny Cage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Cage keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Cage lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Cage walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Stien checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Good leg kick by Cage there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Cage throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Cage fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cage lunges at Stien with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Stien's hand.
Cage cracks Stien with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Cage misses the jab.
Cage's corner calls for a 1-2. Cage obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Cage catches Stien with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Cage connects with a right hand. Stien shakes it off.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stien takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Stien blocks a low kick nicely.
A swing and a miss from Cage.
Cage throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Cage fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stien has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Stien scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cage doesn't seem bothered though.
Stien ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Cage throws out a leg kick but Stien moves out of range and Cage only half commits.
Cage slaps away a takedown attempt from Stien, before circling back to the center of the mat.

A bone on bone clash there as Stien blocks the leg kick.

and Stien counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Cage throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Stien on the side of the head.
Cage misses with an attempted mid kick.
Cage pushes Stien away with a front kick.
Cage scoring well with a low kick there.
Cage misses with a body shot.
Stien fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Johnny Cage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Stien.

Cage swings for the body but Stien moves out of range.
Cage tries to work over Stien's front leg with a kick but Stien checks it.
Stien shoots in for a double leg but Cage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Stien tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cage defends well and Stien ends up having to push Cage into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Stien has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Cage avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Stien wants to take the fight to the mat but Cage manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Stien misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Cage lands a nice elbow.
Cage lands with a right to the head.
Cage is working Stien over against the cage.
Cage lands an elbow just above Stien 's eye.
Cage misses with a knee strike.
Stien is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Cage to keep the fight standing.

Cage keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Stien's efforts to push away.

Stien drags the fight down to the ground.
Cage controlling from the top position.
Stien trying to keep a closed guard but Cage is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cage fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Ben Stien's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Stien comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Stien takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Johnny Cage is winning the standup battle so far.
Stien shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cage defends it nicely.
Cage lands a nice leg kick that just misses Stien's sensitive parts.

Stien feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Stien throws a strike but Cage rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Johnny Cage.
Stien shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cage pinned against the cage. Cage gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stien lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Stien scores with a hook to the body. Cage takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Cage connects with a nice looking jab.
Cage throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Stien fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Stien takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Stien's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

The cut above Ben Stien's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Cage connects with an inside leg kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cage, as that shot connected.

Cage moves into range and clinches up with Stien.
Stien tries to score a body lock takedown but Cage shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cage putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Stien in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Cage comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Cage lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Ben Stien has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Johnny Cage showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cage, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
