Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denny Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Denny Scott!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris throws the left hand but Scott avoids the punch easily.
Scott is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Scott lands a body shot.
Harris swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Harris gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Scott escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Scott shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Harris is wriggling around trying to escape.
Harris is working hard here to advance position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Scott with shots to the head and body - Harris looks very uncomfortable down there.
Harris is squirming around, avoiding Scott's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harris tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Scott dominating with strikes here.
Harris tries to hold on but Scott pushes him away.
Scott landing shots from mount.

Scott wants to control the pace but Harris is squirming around nicely.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Scott with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Harris wants to control but Scott is having none of it.

Harris is trying desperately to improve position.

Scott can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Harris is looking to escape.

Harris keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Scott lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Harris hang on?
Scott pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Harris gets back to half guard.
Harris is trying to control but can't.
Harris moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Harris had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Scott is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Harris Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Scott's back instead.
Harris is breathing heavily.

Harris is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Scott trying to get back to his feet but Harris is in full control for now.
Will Harris go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Denny Scott dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Harris has his takedown stuffed

and Scott holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The referee calls for Scott to work.

Scott manages to break the clinch.

Scott darts in and clinches Harris up against the cage.
Harris blocks an uppercut.
Harris stops a takedown attempt from Scott.
Harris prevents Scott from breaking the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris prevents a takedown attempt there.
Scott wants to get back to striking at distance but Harris won't allow it.
Scott using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Harris has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Scott drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Harris gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Paul Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Denny Scott.
Scott wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Scott wants to break free but Harris has control.
Scott is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Harris looking to stall.
Scott throws a knee to the head but misses.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Harris holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Scott goes for a takedown attempt but Harris pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Scott tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Harris paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Scott. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

and Harris counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Scott is breathing heavily.

Harris lands a couple of elbows.
Harris is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Harris postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Harris chips away with some ground and pound.
Harris trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Harris prevents Scott from getting back to his feet.
Scott can't keep his opponent in guard - Harris advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Harris scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Scott is trying to stand up here but Harris is controlling him well.
Scott wants to improve his position but Harris is controlling well.
Harris lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Harris passes the guard and advances to mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Scott tries to hold on but Harris postures up.
Harris has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Scott's face.

Scott has left one of his arms exposed and Harris doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Scott screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
