Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jarmo Pajumaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TAKANORI GOMI (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pajumaki comes to the cage accompanied by Rage Against the Machine - Bombtrack. GOMI has chosen Iggy Pop - The Passenger as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jarmo Pajumaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, TAKANORI GOMI! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - GOMI looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Pajumaki stuffs the takedown attempt from GOMI. GOMI gets slowly back to his feet. GOMI slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. GOMI throws out a leg kick but Pajumaki moves out of range and GOMI only half commits. Pajumaki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in GOMI's guard. GOMI wants to stand up but Pajumaki is controlling him. Pajumaki controlling from the top position. Pajumaki stops GOMI from standing up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Pajumaki shoots for a double leg takedown but GOMI sprawls well. He's pushed Pajumaki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Pajumaki shoots in but no luck this time. Pajumaki is breathing heavily. Pajumaki closes the distance and clinches up with GOMI, looking for a takedown. Pajumaki pushes GOMI against the cage but GOMI circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. GOMI shoots for a double leg takedown but Pajumaki sprawls well. He's pushed GOMI's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A combination from GOMI does no damage. Pajumaki looks for a takedown but GOMI sprawls well. GOMI tries to clinch up but Pajumaki circles away and keeps his distance. GOMI lands a nice shot that snaps Pajumaki's head back.

GOMI looks to land a body kick but Pajumaki moved away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pajumaki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pajumaki is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jarmo Pajumaki will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

GOMI fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pajumaki sprawls well initially but GOMI persists and gets the takedown into half guard. GOMI tries to stand and escape but Pajumaki actually recovers to full guard. Pajumaki is pulling down on GOMI's head. It's preventing any offense from GOMI, at least for the moment. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pajumaki is on top in guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. GOMI is looking to stand up but Pajumaki isn't so interested in that idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pajumaki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. GOMI looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. GOMI is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Pajumaki scores with a couple of short elbows. GOMI bucks up and tries to throw Pajumaki off but instead Pajumaki has got his back! GOMI wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pajumaki scores with strikes from the back.

The referee asks Pajumaki politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Pajumaki prefers to stall for the moment though. Pajumaki scoring with punches and elbows. GOMI tries to escape but Pajumaki is in control. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pajumaki circles away from the clinch attempt.

Pajumaki lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Pajumaki prevents GOMI from getting back to his feet. Pajumaki working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of GOMI's head.

TAKANORI GOMI has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pajumaki showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from GOMI.
And that's the end of the fight! Jarmo Pajumaki showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pajumaki, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
