Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Wittingham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrew Ellis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Josh Wittingham! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wittingham tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ellis counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Wittingham! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Wittingham manages to get back to half guard. Wittingham is looking to escape. Wittingham missing with punches from the bottom.
Ellis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wittingham's head. Ellis is keen to just control but Wittingham is a slippery customer. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wittingham is trying to maintain the position but Ellis is very close to passing his half guard. Wittingham tries to kick Ellis off but Ellis keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Wittingham slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellis is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Wittingham working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ellis. Wittingham bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ellis's guard. Wittingham stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ellis swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ellis is trying to keep Wittingham in close.
Wittingham throwing strikes but missing. Wittingham passes Ellis's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Wittingham tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ellis knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Ellis is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Wittingham is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Ellis is really struggling to control Wittingham but he's trying to hold on to the position. Wittingham preventing the sweep. That's three minutes gone in the round. Wittingham with a flurry of punches that miss. Ellis looking for a sweep. Not yet Ellis, not yet. Wittingham chips away with some ground and pound. Wittingham stands and throws Ellis's legs to the side, diving into side control. Wittingham cracks Ellis with an elbow. That is naaassty.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wittingham looks up at the clock and then as Ellis takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Wittingham smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Wittingham misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Wittingham instigates a clinch. Wittingham lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Wittingham throws an elbow that misses.
Wittingham blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Wittingham throws a big uppercut that drops Ellis! More strikes from Wittingham and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Ellis lies dazed against the cage as Wittingham celebrates with his cornermen!
