Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Death!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector Polish!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Polish gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Still in the clinch, Polish scores with a nice short uppercut.
Death is trying to pull guard but Polish has him pressed against the cage.
Polish is working Death over against the cage.
Death throws a head punch that misses.
Polish landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Polish lands with a left to the head.
Death tries to score a body lock takedown but Polish shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
We've been hearing reports that Death has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Polish breaks from the clinch.
Polish works over Death's head and body with a nice combination.
Death tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Polish paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Polish shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Death is trying to defend but Polish finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Polish is keen to just control but Death is a slippery customer.
Polish throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Polish is pressing down on Death's thigh, looking to free his foot. Death is holding on for now.
Death is looking to control Polish's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Death avoid being mounted?
Death blocking the ground and pound attempt from Polish.
Polish seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Death does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Death has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Polish is working away from the top position though.
Death is looking for a sweep. Polish is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Death gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Death is looking to cinch up a triangle. Polish throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Death's body to avoid the submission. Death has instead reached around Polish's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Death arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Michael Death!
