Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hipolito Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evert Bosma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bosma has chosen Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hipolito Fisher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evert Bosma!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher fails with a takedown attempt.
Fisher misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bosma with a poor takedown

and Fisher counters by clinching up.

Bosma ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bosma no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Bosma is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bosma wants to stand and escape but Fisher is having none of it.
Bosma wants to sweep here but Fisher controlling him for the moment.

Fisher postures up in Bosma's guard and throws a big left but Bosma blocks it.
Bosma has Fisher pulled in close to control his posture.

Hipolito Fisher has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Fisher tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bosma defends well and Fisher ends up having to push Bosma into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bosma is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fisher is trying to drag Bosma to the mat but Bosma just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hipolito Fisher. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fisher tries to pull guard but Bosma won't allow it.
Bosma has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fisher avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Fisher drags the fight down to the ground.
Fisher looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bosma is one step ahead there.
Fisher wants to hit a switch here but Bosma passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Fisher there!
Fisher tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bosma really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fisher. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bosma tries to control but Fisher wriggling away.
Fisher is desperately trying to improve his position but Bosma has a good base and remains in mount.
Bosma throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Fisher is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Fisher wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Bosma.

Bosma jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Fisher is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Fisher and Bosma has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Evert Bosma will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bosma is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fisher sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Bosma tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fisher defends well and Bosma ends up having to push Fisher into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Hipolito Fisher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evert Bosma.

Bosma has Fisher pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fisher manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bosma is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Fisher is defending well.

Fisher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bosma fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fisher sprawls well initially but Bosma persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fisher tries to get to full guard but Bosma has control of the leg.

Bosma got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fisher has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bosma has managed to get both his arms back between Fisher's legs - danger averted.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Hipolito Fisher just wasn't active enough.

Bosma moves into the clinch.
Bosma working hard to break the clinch.

Bosma jumps guard and drags Fisher to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bosma is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Bosma is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fisher is looking to work some ground and pound but Bosma has wrist control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hipolito Fisher.
Bosma shoots in for a double leg but Fisher sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bosma avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Evert Bosma will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Fisher's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


No luck for Bosma with that takedown attempt.

Fisher gets tackled into the cage by Bosma. Bosma maintains the clinch.
Fisher is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Fisher breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bosma lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Fisher has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Fisher and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Bosma wants to clinch up but Fisher keeps it at a distance.
Bosma shoots in looking for a takedown. Fisher tries to sprawl out of it but Bosma keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fisher manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bosma gets caught flat footed, as Fisher shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Fisher working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Evert Bosma wasn't active enough on the ground.

Fisher's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bosma is defended easily by Fisher.
Bosma takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bosma misses with a body kick.
Fisher looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bosma is fending him off so far but Fisher persists. Nope, Bosma circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Fisher. No joy for Bosma on that attempt.

Fisher shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Fisher was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bosma looking for a sweep but Fisher has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Fisher wants to take Bosma's back but he can't do it this time.
Bosma wants to hold on but Fisher pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hipolito Fisher showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bosma has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
