Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Loren Morton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heinz Everts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Everts has chosen Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Loren Morton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Heinz Everts! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morton shoots in for a takedown but Everts shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Everts has Morton up against the cage in a clinch.
Everts is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Morton gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Loren Morton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heinz Everts. Morton taking a breather. Morton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Everts shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Everts tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Morton is able to avoid easily. Everts moves into the clinch. Morton pulls Everts into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Morton is looking to stand up but Everts isn't so interested in that idea. Morton kicks Everts off and gets to his feet. Morton moves into the clinch successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A head kick by Everts misses and Morton holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Everts fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Everts is working for takedown but Morton is calmly controlling the position for now. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Morton takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Morton for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Everts jumps guard but Morton stands there with Everts around his waist. Everts gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Everts is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Morton is keeping busy. Stalling in the clinch from Morton.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morton pulls Everts into guard.
Morton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Everts defends well. Morton is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Everts rolls with it to try and escape but Morton cranks on the arm and Everts is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Loren Morton! In defeat, Heinz Everts stepped up to the mic, saying 'Darn!'.
