Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lars Akesson!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Cambodia's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Polo Cambodia has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Cambodia seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Akesson for as long as he can get away with.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Akesson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Akesson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cambodia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cambodia pivots and extends the arm, Akesson falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Cambodia! Well done that man!
