Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julius Caesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oscralo De Santiuya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caesar comes to the cage accompanied by Et tu, Brute?. De Santiuya has chosen Nas - The Message as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julius Caesar! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscralo De Santiuya! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Santiuya gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
It looks like Oscralo De Santiuya has been cut. De Santiuya ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Caesar clobbers De Santiuya with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. De Santiuya throws a left and a right that both miss
and Caesar counters by moving into the clinch. De Santiuya decides to pull guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. De Santiuya looking to hit a scissor sweep but Caesar is one step ahead there. Caesar wants to pass the guard but De Santiuya is keeping the position. Caesar trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Caesar throws an elbow that misses. De Santiuya uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Caesar's guard. Nice move by De Santiuya! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Caesar keeping moving, preventing De Santiuya from controlling successfully. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! De Santiuya postures up in Caesar's guard and throws a big left but Caesar blocks it. De Santiuya must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Santiuya has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Caesar is proving hard to escape from. De Santiuya with a flurry of punches that miss. De Santiuya trying to control the position from guard on top but Caesar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. De Santiuya stopping the sweep attempt from Caesar. Caesar keeping moving, preventing De Santiuya from controlling successfully. De Santiuya being controlled here momentarily. Caesar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Oscralo De Santiuya wasn't active enough on the ground. Nice shot by Caesar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De Santiuya bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. De Santiuya trying to control the position but Caesar is working away. De Santiuya goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Caesar has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for De Santiuya but great work by Caesar. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. De Santiuya gets back to half guard. Caesar lands with a punch from half guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Caesar trying to mount his opponent but De Santiuya defends it. Caesar winds up and cracks De Santiuya with a swinging punch to the side of the head. De Santiuya is trying to maintain the position but Caesar is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Caesar lands a nice short elbow. De Santiuya is refusing to be controlled, as Caesar sits in half guard. De Santiuya is in trouble now - Caesar has advanced to mount! De Santiuya is trying to escape the mount.

De Santiuya is rocked! Caesar loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have De Santiuya scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Caesar land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Caesar stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Julius Caesar! Julius Caesar retains his lightweight title! Post fight, Julius Caesar took to the microphone: 'Et tu, Brute?'. In defeat, Oscralo De Santiuya stepped up to the mic, saying 'It was a tough fight. I fought for the title twice in this league, the welterweight and lightweight title. Julius is still undefeated, and he is the champion. I'm still learning, and looking to get back on the win column.'.
