The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stellings moves to clinch but Jazz breaks away and Jazz decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stellings's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Jazz advances to half guard. Jazz works his way into full mount! Jazz is working for a guillotine from mount but Stellings frees his head quite easily.
Jazz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. This has been an exciting period of action! Stellings working to try and regain half guard.
You get the feeling that Stellings really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jazz is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Stellings can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
