Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between George Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Stanley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Jefferson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Stanley! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stanley scores with a decent looking hook. Stanley clinches up against the cage. Stanley jumps into guard, dragging Jefferson to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Jefferson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Stanley is looking to sweep but instead, Jefferson has passed into half guard.
Jefferson stands up and beckons Stanley to join him on the feet. Jefferson misses the shot to the body. Jefferson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stanley moves away. Stanley clinches up against the cage. Jefferson effectively controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jefferson has Stanley pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jefferson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Stanley tumbling to the mat - Jefferson dives into Stanley's guard. Stanley working a defensive guard but Jefferson manages to pass into side control anyway.
Jefferson in side control lands a decent elbow. Jefferson decides to stand back up. Jefferson steps back and let's Stanley get back to his feet. Jefferson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Stanley throws a head kick that misses. Jefferson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stanley to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jefferson looking for a sweep. Not yet Jefferson, not yet. Stanley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jefferson looking to control.
This has been an exciting period of action! Stanley is posturing up here but Jefferson has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Stanley tries to roll out but it's too tight and Stanley has to tap! Slick submission there by Jefferson!
