Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Robin Nash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Avery McCurnin! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCurnin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nash rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McCurnin moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nash tries to bum rush McCurnin with a series of wild strikes but McCurnin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nash misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nash tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. McCurnin has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Nash is landing a low percentage of strikes. Nash throws a shot from downtown. McCurnin moves away and avoids it. McCurnin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nash swats him away and circles back towards the center. McCurnin avoids a punch combination nicely.
