2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Thomas! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. David looking to control.
David is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Thomas is aware though and is defending well. David looking to control.

Chris Thomas has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. David tries to clinch up. David wants to clinch up but Thomas keeps it at a distance. Thomas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. David looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Thomas tries to advance to mount but can't. David tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Thomas wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. David struggling a bit here. David is breathing heavily.

Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Thomas is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and David defends it well. Thomas feints and as David raises his hands in defense, Thomas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. David managing to control the position. David looking for subs off his back but Thomas has passed one foot through into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thomas takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. David really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Thomas has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can David defend it? Thomas steps over the head and cranks it - David is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Thomas!
