Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wyatt Jarvis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Newton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wyatt Jarvis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Newton! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newton slaps away a takedown attempt from Jarvis, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jarvis has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Newton looks to clinch and Jarvis counters with a left and a right that stings Newton. Newton gets a clinch. Jarvis is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Jarvis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jarvis avoids the head kick by Newton.
Newton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jarvis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Jarvis has hold of one of Newton's legs. Newton is fighting the takedown attempt but Jarvis gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Jarvis controlling from the top position. Newton looking for a sweep. Not yet Newton, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jarvis sitting in guard, not really doing much. Newton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Wyatt Jarvis just wasn't active enough. Newton tries to bum rush Jarvis with a series of wild strikes but Jarvis uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jarvis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Newton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Newton is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Newton clinches up against the cage. Jarvis keeps control of Newton as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Jarvis takes a knee to the side of the body. Newton prevents Jarvis from breaking the clinch. Newton wants to get back to striking at distance but Jarvis won't allow it.

Jarvis tries a knee to the head but Newton blocks it.

Jarvis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Newton tries to clinch and Jarvis counters with a two punch combo. Newton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jarvis pinned against the cage. Jarvis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wyatt Jarvis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Newton. Newton throws an overhand right that lands on Jarvis's shoulder, as Jarvis tries to avoid the shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Newton connects with a single shot there. Newton looks to land a combination but Jarvis avoids it well. Newton has a takedown stuffed. Newton looks winded! Newton misses with a wild combination.
Newton scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jarvis in his tracks. Jarvis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jarvis is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Jarvis there. Jarvis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Newton is trying to stand back up but Jarvis is controlling him
Jarvis slows the pace down in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Wyatt Jarvis will probably get the nod. That's time! Jarvis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Newton swinging wildly here.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Jarvis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Newton. Jarvis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Newton misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Newton is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jarvis has escaped the position, nice work there. Newton prevents Jarvis from escaping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Newton goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jarvis has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Newton but great work by Jarvis. Jarvis staying calm. Newton can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Newton seems a little lost for a moment, as Jarvis dominates the positioning. Newton taking punishment in the form of punches.
Jarvis controls the position from side control. Newton is trying to control Jarvis's posture but Jarvis avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Newton trying his best to control but Jarvis has mounted him. Jarvis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Newton looks a forlorn figure.
Jarvis content just to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jarvis won't let Newton get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Newton keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jarvis with the ground and pound from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wyatt Jarvis dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Jarvis looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jarvis is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jarvis preventing the sweep. Jarvis throws a big right hand that misses. Newton has momentary wrist control but Jarvis slips an elbow through the middle. Newton is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Newton looking to control but Jarvis passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jarvis is controlling the pace.
Newton is trying to stand back up but Jarvis is controlling him
Jarvis looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Newton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Wyatt Jarvis wasn't doing enough on the ground. Newton looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Newton takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jarvis regains full guard. Nicely done. Newton stops Jarvis from standing up. Newton is looking to pass into half guard but Jarvis pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Jarvis is in guard. Jarvis cracks Newton with a solid left hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Newton trying to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jarvis controls from within his opponent's guard. Newton is looking for a triangle here but Jarvis uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jarvis lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Newton seems a little lost for a moment, as Jarvis dominates the positioning. Jarvis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Newton for as long as he can get away with. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that's the end of the fight! Wyatt Jarvis showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jarvis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
