Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henry Baskerville (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aslak Joikhaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baskerville comes into the arena with God Save the Queen blaring out of the sound system. Aslak Joikhaaja has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Henry Baskerville's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Henry Baskerville!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aslak Joikhaaja!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joikhaaja dives in and scores a takedown into Baskerville's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Baskerville has Joikhaaja pulled in close to control his posture.

Baskerville escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Joikhaaja gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Joikhaaja stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Baskerville swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Baskerville will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Baskerville is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Baskerville changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Joikhaaja looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Joikhaaja is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Baskerville's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Baskerville's back!

We've been hearing good reports from Baskerville's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Joikhaaja lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Joikhaaja seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Baskerville does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Joikhaaja lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Baskerville has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Baskerville and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Joikhaaja fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Baskerville to the ground. Joikhaaja is now in Baskerville's guard.

Baskerville is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Joikhaaja rolls with it to try and escape but Baskerville cranks on the arm and Joikhaaja is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Henry Baskerville!
