The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plights bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Meyer shoots in for a takedown but Plights shows good takedown defense.
Meyer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Plights ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Plights drives through with a takedown into Meyer's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Plights wants to control from the top but Meyer keeps moving.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Plights tries to free his leg and advance position but Meyer is retaining full guard.
Plights trying to control but Meyer is working from the bottom.
Plights drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Meyer dives on top into guard.
Meyer is pushing down on Plights's leg trying to pass to half guard. Plights is fighting to maintain full guard but Meyer has managed to sneak the leg through.
Meyer passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Plights wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Meyer has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Plights taps furiously! This one is all over!
