The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timonyn throws a left and a right that both miss

Rich got a little sloppy there for a moment and Timonyn has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rich has managed to get both his arms back between Timonyn's legs - danger averted.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rich working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Timonyn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rich manages to avoid it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rich will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
