PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Indigo Starseed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josoe Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Starseed might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bass Nectar- Take You Down. Silva is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dmx...Aint no sunshine. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josoe Silva!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a low kick but Starseed moves out of range easily.
Starseed misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Starseed counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Silva has hold of Starseed's hands but Starseed slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Starseed tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Starseed has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Starseed is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Silva has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Starseed throws the left hand but Silva avoids the punch easily.

Starseed manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Silva on his heels. He'll look to pass Silva's guard now, I'm sure.

Starseed uses his free foot to push down on Silva's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Silva.

Starseed's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Silva is still in real trouble! Can Starseed finish him?
Starseed postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Silva in real trouble here! The ref calls for Silva to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
