Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hubert Goodwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Janus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janus is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I don't like you. Hubert Goodwin has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodwin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Goodwin throws a big right hand that misses.
Janus looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Goodwin looking to sit in guard and control but Janus gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Janus advances position into side control!
Janus tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Janus just content to control the position.
Goodwin is trying to improve his position.
Goodwin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Goodwin is in bad spot here.
Janus is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Goodwin has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Janus has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Goodwin taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Janus doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hugh Janus!
In his post fight interview, Hugh Janus started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
