Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mateus Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Greg Stan!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Gracie counters by clinching up.
Stan is working for takedown but Gracie is calmly controlling the position for now.
A head punch on the inside from Gracie fails to land.
Stan tries for a takedown. No joy.
Mateus Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Stan.
Gracie tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Stan avoids it.

Stan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Stan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gracie as he avoids it easily.

and Gracie counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Gracie's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gracie swings wildly with an uppercut but Stan uses good head movement to avoid it.

Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gracie.

Stan shoots in but Gracie avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Stan takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Stan is looking for a sweep.
Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Stan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Gracie here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

I would just about give that final round to Greg Stan.
Well Gracie has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
