The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshak Iii throws a series of punches but Ellis moves out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Marshak Iii.
Marshak Iii throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ellis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Ellis moves out of range as Marshak Iii throws a body kick.
Marshak Iii lands with a straight right. Ellis didn't see that one coming.
It looks like Emil Ellis has been cut.
Ellis gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Marshak Iii is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ellis is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Marshak Iii to the mat. Marshak Iii regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ellis stops Marshak Iii from standing up.
Ellis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ellis engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Ellis is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Marshak Iii wants to control but Ellis is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Marshak Iii is looking for a sweep. Ellis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Marshak Iii is trying to stand.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Ellis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Marshak Iii to the mat! Marshak Iii manages to get full guard.
Ellis postures up in Marshak Iii's guard and throws a big left but Marshak Iii blocks it.
Ellis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ellis won't allow Marshak Iii to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marshak Iii can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ellis controls the pace.
We're going to have a standup here because Emil Ellis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Ellis sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Marshak Iii misses with a wild body shot.
Marshak Iii pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ellis gets a clinch.
Ellis tries to break the clinch but Marshak Iii is controlling the position.
Ellis has Marshak Iii pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Marshak Iii manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Ellis on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Marshak Iii has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ellis clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ellis manages to reverse the position and now he's in Marshak Iii's guard. Nice work there by Ellis.
Marshak Iii wants to sweep here but Ellis controlling him for the moment.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marshak Iii keeps trying to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ellis looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Samuel Marshak Iii will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Emil Ellis's cut.
That's time! Ellis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Marshak Iii, as that shot connected.
Marshak Iii scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ellis in his tracks.
Samuel Marshak Iii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marshak Iii attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Marshak Iii fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ellis looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Emil Ellis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Marshak Iii tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Marshak Iii throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Marshak Iii lunges at Ellis with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ellis's hand.
Marshak Iii scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Ellis is rocked!
Marshak Iii is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marshak Iii fakes the body blow, causing Ellis to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Ellis goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
