The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sobando tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cows swivels and escapes.
Sobando fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sobando has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Cows darts in looking for a takedown but Sobando gets double underhooks and turns Cows into the cage.

Sobando has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cows is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Sobando wants to take the fight to the mat but Cows manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sobando tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cows paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Cows looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sobando with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Cows wants to take a breather but Sobando is having none of it.

Sobando has hold of Cows's hands but Cows slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Cows perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Cows is pressing down on Sobando's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sobando is holding on for now.
Cows is nestled in close to Sobando, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Cows takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Cows lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Sobando quite badly. Sobando pulls Cows in close trying to recover. Cows postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Sobando on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Sobando doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
