Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen what's new pussycat as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nick Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tom Jones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Alvarez.

Alvarez keeps the fight on the outside.
Jones takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

That was a close round but I would say that Nick Alvarez will probably get the nod.

Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Tom Jones decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
