Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jin Sen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sen kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Let It Rock. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jin Sen! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Carter! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sen misses the shot to the body. No luck for Carter with that takedown attempt. Carter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sen is fending him off so far but Carter persists. Nope, Sen circles away and we're back to standing. Carter stuns Sen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Carter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sen swinging wilding here.
Sen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Carter misses with a body shot.
Carter throws a hook but Sen avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter thows a left - swing and a miss! Carter tries to clinch up but Sen circles away and keeps his distance. Carter slips a jab from Sen. Sen tries a head kick but it misses.
Sen throws a big shot that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Sen throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Carter. Carter tries to clinch there but Sen circles away.
Carter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Carter lands in his opponent's guard. Carter connects with a couple of short punches. Carter tries to free his leg and advance position but Sen is retaining full guard. Sen is looking to stand up but Carter isn't so interested in that idea. Carter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sen is looking to stand up but Carter isn't so interested in that idea. Carter throws a strike but Sen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Carter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sen stopping the sweep attempt from Carter. Carter is working an open guard so Sen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter dips to his left and cracks Sen with an uppercut! Sen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sen throws a right hand that Carter ducks under and follows up with a left that Carter also avoids with ease. Sen throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Carter tries to clinch there but Sen circles away.
Sen misses with a looping left. Horrible takedown by Carter or perhaps it was just good defense by Sen which made him look bad. Jin Sen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Carter. Sen lands a head kick that stumbles Carter and the fighters go to the mat.
It looks like Andrew Carter has been cut. Sen tries to free his leg and advance position but Carter is retaining full guard. Sen stands up from guard. Let's bang! This has been an exciting period of action! Carter tries to clinch up but Sen circles away and keeps his distance. Sen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sen tries a head kick but it misses.
Jin Sen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Carter misses with a wild combination.
Carter is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Carter moves into range and clinches up with Sen. Sen gets underhooks to prevent Carter's takedown attempt.
Sen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Carter counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Carter. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carter wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sen has him pressed against the cage. Carter misses with a punch on the inside.
Sen breaks from the clinch.
Carter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sen circles away. A combination from Sen does no damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jin Sen dominated that round. The cut man is working on Andrew Carter's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Carter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Carter has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Sen. Jin Sen is winning the standup battle so far. Carter is looking to clinch but Sen is avoiding it.
Sen throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Carter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carter slips under a jab. Sen throws a head kick but Carter moves out of range.
Sen lands a head kick that stumbles Carter and the fighters go to the mat.
Carter is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carter is working an open guard so Sen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Carter is still on wobbly legs! Can Sen finish him? Sen circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Carter drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Sen follows Carter to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jin Sen! Jin Sen retains his light heavyweight title!
