Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Condit!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Condit throws a head kick that misses.
Condit tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Condit on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Garnett keeps the fight on the outside.
Condit shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Garnett counters with a left to the body.
Nice body punch from Garnett.
A telegraphed right hand from Garnett misses the target.
Condit shoots in but Garnett avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Garnett works the jab nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Condit takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Condit dives in for a single leg takedown but Garnett sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Arvel Garnett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Condit.
Garnett is trying to break the clinch but Condit is controlling him.
A knee to the head by Condit.
Garnett breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Garnett digs a good hook to Condit's body.
Donk. Garnett catches Condit right on the button with a cross.
A head kick misses from Condit.
Condit tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Condit feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Condit looks winded!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Garnett seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Garnett controls Condit momentarily but Condit frees himself.
Arvel Garnett has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Garnett throws a lazy right hand but Condit sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Garnett stuffs the takedown.
Carlos Condit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Garnett connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Garnett throws a right and a left that both miss.
Condit fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Garnett thumps Condit with a low kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Garnett, as that shot connected.
Condit misses with a leg kick.
Garnett works the jab nicely.
Garnett throws out a loose jab but Condit uses good head movement to avoid it.
Garnett on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Nice sprawl there from Garnett as Condit shoots in.
Condit looks for a takedown but Garnett sprawls well.
A head kick misses from Condit.
Garnett feints and then cracks Condit's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Condit down.
Garnett slaps away a takedown attempt from Condit, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Garnett defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Condit.
Garnett throws a right hand that Condit ducks under and follows up with a left that Condit also avoids with ease.
Condit fails with a takedown attempt.

Garnett connects with a jab.
Garnett dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Garnett misses with a looping left.
Arvel Garnett is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Garnett connects with an inside leg kick.
Condit chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Garnett can pounce on him.
Condit gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Garnett counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A slapping leg kick lands for Garnett.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Garnett wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Garnett cracks Condit with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Garnett has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Condit to stand back up!
Condit is rocked!
Garnett connects with a superb combination that knocks Condit out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Garnett before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Condit!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Arvel Garnett!
