Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Harley Burlson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Koitsu Baraka!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baraka lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Baraka.
Burlson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Baraka is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Baraka scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Burlson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Baraka tries to avoid it but Burlson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Baraka to the ground. Baraka escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Baraka shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Burlson eats them both and turns towards Baraka to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Baraka lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Burlson at a distance.
Burlson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Baraka's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Baraka duly obliges.

Burlson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Baraka connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Burlson scrambles back to his feet.

Burlson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Baraka's waist but Baraka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Burlson off to one side.

Burlson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Baraka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Baraka wants to stand and escape but instead Burlson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Burlson is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Weed Nation that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Koitsu Baraka is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Burlson goes for a double leg but Baraka avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Baraka continues to drive forward.

Baraka is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Koitsu Baraka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Baraka lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Baraka can do anything to dispel that myth.

Burlson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.


It looks like Koitsu Baraka has been cut.
Burlson tries to control but Baraka wriggling away.
Burlson postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Baraka in real trouble here! The ref calls for Baraka to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harley Burlson!
A relieved looking Harley Burlson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Koitsu Baraka had this to say: 'It is what it is, I thought my hands were slick enough to pull out the win, but it just didn't work for me. I'm still new to the sport though, and I plan to work hard as I know I can only get better. May need to work on that ground game a bit yeah? Haha, thanks for the time, and good night ladies '.
