Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Dominguez ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Mcintosh! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcintosh shoots in but no luck this time. Mcintosh tries to clinch and Dominguez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Mcintosh leaves Dominguez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mcintosh wants to clinch. Mcintosh wants to slow Dominguez down by chopping away at his legs. Mcintosh just misses with a punch to the body.
Dominguez throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Mcintosh looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Mcintosh shoots in but Dominguez avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dominguez fails with a takedown attempt. Mcintosh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dominguez 's waist but Dominguez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mcintosh off to one side. Josh Dominguez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Mcintosh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcintosh tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dominguez slaps away a takedown attempt from Mcintosh, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dominguez clinches with his opponent.
Mcintosh lands a damaging elbow. Mcintosh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mcintosh will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dominguez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mcintosh. No luck for Dominguez with that takedown attempt. Dominguez drives through with a takedown into Mcintosh's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Mcintosh has a closed guard, preventing Dominguez from standing up. Dominguez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcintosh wants to sweep here but Dominguez controlling him for the moment. Mcintosh is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Dominguez works a leg free and moves into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mcintosh is looking for a sweep. Dominguez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mcintosh is looking to control Dominguez 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mcintosh avoid being mounted? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dominguez is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dominguez is pressing down on Mcintosh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mcintosh is holding on for now. Dominguez trying to control the action but Mcintosh is working from the bottom. Mcintosh trying to control from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mcintosh shoots in looking for a takedown but Dominguez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mcintosh's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Mcintosh moves into the clinch. Mcintosh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Mcintosh shoots in for a takedown but Dominguez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Dominguez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mcintosh sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dominguez somewhat. Dominguez tries to clinch up but Mcintosh circles away and keeps his distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dominguez tries to close the distance and clinch but Mcintosh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mcintosh misses with a takedown attempt and Dominguez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Mcintosh shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dominguez pinned against the cage. Dominguez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dominguez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mcintosh keeps control of the position for the meantime. Dominguez is working for a submission of some sort.
Mcintosh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dominguez . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mcintosh looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Dominguez dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dominguez checks a leg kick. Dominguez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mcintosh defends well and Dominguez ends up having to push Mcintosh into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Mcintosh - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Dominguez tries to pull guard but Mcintosh won't allow it.
Dominguez looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Dominguez tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mcintosh avoids it. Mcintosh manages to break the clinch.
Mcintosh misses with a takedown attempt enabling Dominguez to counter with a crisp jab. Mcintosh shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mcintosh tries to close the distance and clinch but Dominguez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mcintosh closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dominguez circles away. Josh Dominguez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Mcintosh.

Mcintosh has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dominguez avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Dominguez gets underhooks to prevent Mcintosh's takedown attempt.

Dominguez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mcintosh, up you get! Mcintosh lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Dominguez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mcintosh sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dominguez somewhat. Dominguez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mcintosh as he jumps to the side.

Rick Mcintosh seems to be getting the better of the standup. Dominguez moves to clinch but Mcintosh breaks away and Mcintosh decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dominguez 's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mcintosh wanted to stand there but Dominguez had control of the position. Mcintosh trying to control the position from guard on top but Dominguez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dominguez has a closed guard, preventing Mcintosh from standing up. Dominguez keeping full guard, as Mcintosh tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rick Mcintosh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Mcintosh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dominguez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mcintosh somewhat. Dominguez cracks Mcintosh with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Dominguez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Mcintosh tries to bench press Dominguez off him but Dominguez keeps the position. Dominguez has knee on belly and moves into mount. Dominguez controlling his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcintosh looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcintosh trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Mcintosh is trying to remain composed but Dominguez is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Dominguez wants to control but Mcintosh is keeping busy. Dominguez is cranking Mcintosh's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Mcintosh! He's tightened the choke and Mcintosh is tapping out!
