Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Omar Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Redban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redban has chosen M83 - Midnight City as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Omar Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Redban! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redban misses with a hook to the body
and Jackson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jackson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Redban is looking to reverse the position. Redban seems a little lost for a moment, as Jackson dominates the positioning. Redban is looking for a sweep. Redban manages to get back to half guard. Jackson wants to take a breather but Redban is having none of it. Redban is controlling Jackson's position as best he can from this difficult position. Jackson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jackson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Redban trying to control here.

Redban misses with a hook. Redban rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jackson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Redban defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jackson. Jackson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Redban sprawls well initially but Jackson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jackson looks to land a strike but Redban avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Redban is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up. This has been an exciting period of action! Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Redban's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson throws a big right hand that misses. Jackson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jackson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Redban's guard. Jackson is trying to control. Redban wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Jackson is taking a breather. Redban says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Jackson trying to control the action but Redban is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ground and pound from Jackson. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Redban slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Jackson won't allow Redban to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Redban keeps Jackson at a distance using the push kick. Omar Jackson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jackson shoots in for a takedown. We've been told by Jackson's head coaches at MMA Warrior (1000$ / 15 Elite Coaches) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Redban scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jackson doesn't seem bothered though. Redban lets loose with a powerful body kick. Jackson will feel that in the morning. Jackson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Redban is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jackson wants to stand but Redban has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Redban is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jackson is aware though and is defending well. Redban has momentary wrist control but Jackson slips an elbow through the middle. Redban has control of Jackson's left arm, preventing Jackson from doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Omar Jackson will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

It looks like Brian Redban has been cut. Redban tries to lock up and control but Jackson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jackson putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Redban is still in real trouble! Can Jackson finish him? Jackson postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Redban in real trouble here! The ref calls for Redban to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
