Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alex Higgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dani Polly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Higgins comes to the cage accompanied by ACDC - TNT . Alex Higgins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Higgins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dani Polly! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Higgins lands with a hook. Polly tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Higgins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Polly tries to avoid it but Higgins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Polly to the ground. Polly escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Polly clinches up with Higgins and pushes him back against the cage. Higgins fails to pull guard.
Polly blocks an uppercut.
Polly leaning his opponent against the cage. Polly misses with an elbow over the top. Polly lands a hook to the side of the head. Higgins has Polly pressed against the cage, preventing Polly from circling away and getting back to striking at range. A short body shot lands from Polly as the two fighters clinch.
Higgins using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Polly has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Higgins misses with an elbow over the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Polly is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Higgins is working for takedown but Polly is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Higgins. That's going to take a lot out of him. Higgins tries to pull guard but Polly holds him up against the cage and eventually Higgins drops back down to his feet.
Higgins pulls guard effortlessly. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Higgins looking for a sweep. Not yet Higgins, not yet. Polly controlling from the top position. Polly wanted to stand there but Higgins had control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Polly tries to free his leg and advance position but Higgins is retaining full guard. Higgins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Polly gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Polly trying to control the position from guard on top but Higgins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Polly sitting in guard here, content to control.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dani Polly wasn't active enough on the ground. Polly looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Polly tries to score a power double leg takedown but Higgins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Polly somewhat. Polly takes the fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Higgins wants to break the clinch but can't.
Higgins breaks from the clinch.
Higgins looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Polly swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Higgins tries to close the distance and clinch but Polly swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Higgins scores with a push kick. Polly fails with the takedown and Higgins counters with a nice body kick. Higgins misses with a lunging right hand
and Polly cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Polly misses with a takedown attempt - Higgins sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nice takedown defense from Higgins. No joy for Polly on that attempt. Higgins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Polly swats him away and circles back towards the center. Polly fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Higgins doesn't manage to clinch there - Polly circles away.
Polly shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Higgins as he jumps to the side. Polly shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Higgins as he avoids it easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Polly misses with a jab, cross combination.
Polly ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A combination from Higgins does no damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Higgins dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Higgins closes the distance but Polly moves to the side and Polly counters by clinching up. Polly tries to pull guard but Higgins holds him up against the cage and eventually Polly drops back down to his feet.
Polly fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Polly is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Alex Higgins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dani Polly. Higgins is defending well against a takedown attempt. Polly pushes off an throws an elbow but Higgins leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Polly is trying to pull guard but Higgins turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Higgins breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Higgins tries to close the distance and clinch but Polly swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Higgins tries a head kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Higgins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Polly swats him away and circles back towards the center. Higgins moves into the clinch successfully.
Polly wants to take the fight to the mat but Higgins manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Polly trying to land knees to the body.
Polly drops down looking for an ankle pick but Higgins pulls his leg out and moves away.
Polly throws a series of punches but Higgins moves out of range. Higgins throws a hook to the side of Polly's head but Polly sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A chopping leg kick lands by Higgins. Higgins swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Polly looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Polly slips a straight right by Higgins. Polly tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Higgins defends well and Polly ends up having to push Higgins into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Higgins. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Polly as Higgins tries to tie him up. Polly lands a hook that snaps the head of Higgins backwards. Higgins jumps into guard, dragging Polly to the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Higgins holds on and takes a little breather. Polly trying to stand up but can't free himself from Higgins's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Higgins is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Higgins trying to keep a closed guard but Polly is proving a slippery customer.
Polly stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Higgins swivels though and keeps the full guard. Polly trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Higgins manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Higgins stands and steps away. Polly gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Polly darts in looking for a takedown but Higgins gets double underhooks and turns Polly into the cage. Higgins manages to break the clinch.
Higgins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Polly moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Alex Higgins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Polly tries to sprawl but Higgins drives through with a takedown into half guard. Higgins not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Higgins is looking for a kimura but Polly is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Higgins to get the leverage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Higgins prevents Polly from improving his position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Polly is trying to stand back up but Higgins is controlling him
Higgins is looking to take a break and control but Polly is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Higgins dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Polly scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Higgins definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The fight stays on the outside here - Polly looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Higgins has a takedown stuffed. Polly goes for a double leg but Higgins avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Higgins continues to drive forward. Higgins misses with an elbow over the top. Polly is trying to break free. Polly tries to break the clinch but Higgins is controlling the position. Higgins breaks the clinch.
Alex Higgins is winning the standup battle so far. Some wild striking there from Higgins.
That's one minute gone in the round. Polly shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Higgins sprawls well. Higgins wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Polly gets slowly back to his feet. Higgins avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A head kick misses from Polly. Higgins wants to clinch up but Polly keeps it at a distance. A combination from Higgins does no damage. Polly shoots and misses and Higgins counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Alex Higgins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dani Polly. Polly moves into the clinch. Polly stalls. Polly prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Higgins drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Polly gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Higgins is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Polly is keeping busy. Higgins misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Polly.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Polly tries to pull guard but Higgins forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Higgins is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Polly wants to break free but Higgins has control.
Polly scores with a nice hook to the head. Polly pulls Higgins into guard.
Higgins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Higgins drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Higgins jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Alex Higgins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Higgins postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Polly is rocked! Higgins loads up on a big left hand. Polly felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Higgins looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Polly can't hide his disappointment, as Higgins celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alex Higgins! During a confident post fight interview, Alex Higgins thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
