Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Balian Psikuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Psikuta's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Gay's Rules. Lars Gordon will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gordon gets caught napping as Psikuta dives in and scores a takedown. Gordon manages to retain guard.
Psikuta wants to pass the guard but Gordon is keeping the position.
Psikuta could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Balian Psikuta.

The referee is keeping an eye on Psikuta - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Psikuta looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Psikuta is thwarting Gordon's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gordon tries to free his leg and advance position but Psikuta is retaining full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gordon passes Psikuta's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Psikuta is staying active underneath Gordon, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Balian Psikuta will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Psikuta shoots in and bounces Gordon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
