Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alex Gurmorow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Gregory! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gregory scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Gregory is staying tight to Gurmorow's torso, preventing him from escaping. Gurmorow gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Gurmorow wants to control but Gregory is having none of it. Gurmorow is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gurmorow tries to lock up and control but Gregory gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Gurmorow wants to try and get back to his feet. Gregory looking to secure an arm triangle but Gurmorow defends it well. Gurmorow is wriggling around trying to escape.
Gregory takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Gregory sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Gregory can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gurmorow is looking to escape. Gregory looking to ground and pound but Gurmorow is blocking nicely. Gurmorow tries to hold on but Gregory pushes him away. Gregory jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gurmorow is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gurmorow and Gregory has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gregory looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gurmorow is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gregory is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Gurmorow is trying to escape and Gregory transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Gurmorow is forced to tap! Nice work there by Gregory! Very nice indeed!
