Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lipe Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Trimis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lipe Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, George Trimis! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trimis shoots in but Santos avoids the takedown attempt easily. Trimis misses with a few strikes there.
Santos moves in looking to clinch but Trimis pushes him off. Trimis throws a sloppy head kick and Santos moves out of range easily. Santos moves into range and clinches up with Trimis. Santos manages to pull guard.
Trimis wants to stand and escape but instead Santos has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Santos lands a couple of digs. Santos slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Santos controlling the position from side mount. Santos trying to control the position but Trimis is working away. Santos is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Trimis is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Trimis has escaped the position, nice work there. Santos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trimis keeps working. Trimis regains half guard. Santos not landing any meaningful shots this time. Santos wants to take a breather but Trimis is having none of it. Trimis keeps control of the position for the meantime. Trimis trying to control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Trimis is looking to improve his position.
Trimis is trying to control but can't.
Trimis won't allow Santos to pass to mount.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Santos tries to clinch but Trimis is having none of it. Santos tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Trimis. Santos gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Santos is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Trimis can't fight it off and eventually Santos manages to take the fight to the floor. Trimis looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Trimis looking for a sweep. Not yet Trimis, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trimis is trying to control the position but Santos postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Santos is looking to work some ground and pound but Trimis has wrist control. Trimis is controlling Santos's posture. Trimis looks gassed! Santos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Santos postures up in Trimis's guard and throws a big left but Trimis blocks it. Trimis tries to land a sweep but no joy. Trimis keeping moving, preventing Santos from controlling successfully.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Trimis paws at him with a jab and circles away. Santos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Santos is keen to just control but Trimis is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trimis actively working from the bottom here. Santos winds up and cracks Trimis with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Trimis is staying active underneath Santos, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Santos not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Santos stops Trimis from getting back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Santos looks to land a combination but Trimis avoids it well. Trimis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Santos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. You can see the frustration on Santos's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lipe Santos dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Santos tries to clinch up. Trimis displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Santos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Trimis throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Santos's head. Santos wants to clinch. Santos tries to clinch there but Trimis circles away.
Horrible takedown by Trimis or perhaps it was just good defense by Santos which made him look bad. Trimis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lipe Santos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Trimis rushes Santos and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Santos tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Trimis just stands there and leans against the cage. Trimis holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Trimis tries to break the clinch but Santos is controlling the position. The referee calls for Trimis to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos jumps guard.
Santos wants to control but Trimis passes easily into half guard.
Santos moves into full guard.
Santos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Trimis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Trimis looking to pass the guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Santos is on top in guard.
Trimis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Santos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Santos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trimis trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Trimis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Santos works a leg free and moves into half guard. Trimis wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos moves nicely into side control. Santos is looking to take a break and control but Trimis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Trimis tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Santos easily slips into full mount! Trimis is trying desperately to improve position. Trimis wants to control but Santos is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Santos lands a big shot there that rocks Trimis but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Trimis is bucking up trying to escape but Santos cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Trimis is in all sorts of trouble here.
Santos unloading with bombs! Trimis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Santos connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Trimis regains half guard. Santos wants to free his trapped foot but Trimis is holding on for dear life with his legs. Trimis is trying to control but Santos passes into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Lipe Santos will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Trimis is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Santos. Santos with a poor takedown and Trimis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Santos won't be happy with that. Trimis creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Santos is looking to regain half guard here but Trimis keeps moving and retains side control. Lipe Santos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Trimis is staying tight to Santos's torso, preventing him from escaping. Santos is trying to control Trimis's posture but Trimis avoids it. Trimis controls the position from side control. Santos is trying to improve his position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trimis tries for a kimura but Santos is defending well. Trimis working away. Santos is looking for a sweep. Trimis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Santos takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Santos is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Trimis's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Santos tries to roll over but Trimis keeps him under control. Santos moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Trimis controls from within his opponent's guard. Santos looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Santos is working hard here to advance position. Trimis tries to stand but Santos is controlling from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos looking for a sweep. Not yet Santos, not yet. Santos is pulling down on Trimis's head to control his posture. Trimis tries to free his leg and advance position but Santos is retaining full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Santos tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Trimis counters with a stiff right hand. Trimis fails to land the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Santos looks to clinch and Trimis counters with a nice double leg into guard. Trimis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Santos thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Santos trying to strike off his back.
Santos looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Santos had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Trimis is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Santos Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Trimis's back instead. Santos patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Trimis tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Trimis bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Santos is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that's the end of the fight! George Trimis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Santos has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
