The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jack misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sheppard works the jab nicely.
Jack throws a low kick but Sheppard moves out of range easily.
Jack misses with a low kick.
Jack throws a lazy right hand but Sheppard sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jack misses with the combination.
Jack throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sheppard just misses with a punch to the body.
Jack takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Sheppard dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sheppard moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Jack goes down! Can Sheppard finish him!?
It looks like Michael Jack has been cut.
Sheppard chips away with some ground and pound.
Jack is rocked!
Sheppard gets to his feet and stands over Jack, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Jack felt that one! Sheppard unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Jack from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Sheppard!
After the fight, Jimmy Sheppard was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
