Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jacob Herman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Wallhead! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Herman takes a shot right to the bread basket. Herman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wallhead lands a lovely overhand right. Wallhead shoots in and drives through. Herman sprawls well. Wallhead pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Herman back to the cage. Wallhead follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Jacob Herman has been cut. Wallhead misses with a takedown and Herman counters with a big head kick but Wallhead shrugs it off. Herman clinches. Herman trying to land knees to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action! Wallhead has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Herman after a bit of a struggle. Jacob Herman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Wallhead. Herman digs a right hand underneath Wallhead's ribcage. Wallhead let out a lung full of air as it connected. Wallhead is looking to take this one to the mat. Herman breaks from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Herman drives through with a takedown into Wallhead's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Herman controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Herman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wallhead has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Herman has managed to get both his arms back between Wallhead's legs - danger averted. Herman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wallhead has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Herman doesn't defend quickly enough and Wallhead has managed to lock this one up! Can Herman escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Wallhead on a fantastic submission victory.
