Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Federov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marty Miagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Federov comes into the arena with Back in Black blaring out of the sound system. Marty Miagi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marty Miagi! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Federov shoots in for a takedown but Miagi shows good takedown defense. Federov drives through with a takedown into guard. Federov forces his way into half guard. Federov is looking for a kimura but Miagi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Federov to get the leverage. Federov works his foot free and advances to mount. Federov is working for a guillotine from mount but Miagi frees his head quite easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Federov wants to take Miagi's back here but Miagi is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Federov working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Federov is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Miagi can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Federov looking for a guillotine from mount but Miagi is having none of it. Miagi is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Miagi is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Federov with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miagi has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Federov is looking to control Miagi but Miagi is wriggling around and keeping busy. Miagi is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Miagi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Federov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Miagi is trying to stand. He's onto all fours with Federov on his back. Federov looks like he's slipping off but he's actually tansitioning to a beautiful armbar! Miagi has to tap out to a very impressive submission!
