Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Callum Tweedie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin Vanhood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tweedie comes to the cage accompanied by Snow Patrol - Chocolate. Robin Vanhood has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Callum Tweedie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robin Vanhood!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Tweedie.
Tweedie misses with a head kick.
Vanhood defending well as Tweedie loads up on a big left hand.
Vanhood cracks a nice hook into Tweedie's ribs.
Vanhood shoots in but Tweedie avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Tweedie lunges at Vanhood with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Vanhood's hand.


It looks like Robin Vanhood has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tweedie takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Tweedie swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Vanhood circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vanhood throws a lazy right hand but Tweedie sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vanhood shoots in for a takedown but Tweedie shows good takedown defense.
Vanhood will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tweedie has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Callum Tweedie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robin Vanhood.

Tweedie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vanhood moves away.
Vanhood thuds a left hand into Tweedie's body.
Tweedie misses with a wild body shot.
Tweedie digs a good body shot into Vanhood's ribs.
Callum Tweedie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vanhood avoids a punch combination nicely.
Vanhood dives in for a single leg takedown but Tweedie sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Tweedie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Tweedie takes the fight into the clinch.
Vanhood is trying to drag Tweedie to the mat but Tweedie just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Vanhood is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tweedie is defending well.
Tweedie lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Vanhood has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Tweedie is trying to keep an underhook but Vanhood manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Vanhood is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tweedie defends it well.

Tweedie is positioning himself well to prevent Vanhood advancing to mount.
Vanhood wants to free his trapped foot but Tweedie is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Vanhood is looking for a kimura but Tweedie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vanhood to get the leverage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tweedie is positioning himself well to prevent Vanhood advancing to mount.

Vanhood is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Tweedie still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Tweedie has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Tweedie stands up and beckons Vanhood to his feet.
Vanhood shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tweedie defends it nicely.
Vanhood has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Vanhood there as he acknowledges the shot.
Callum Tweedie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Vanhood has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tweedie.
Tweedie connects with a leg kick. Vanhood looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vanhood ducks under a wild hook from Tweedie.
Vanhood moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Vanhood on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Vanhood takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.


That has opened up Robin Vanhood's cut even more.
Tweedie has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vanhood takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Tweedie, right into the meat.
Vanhood throws a lazy head kick
and Tweedie counters with a nice uppercut.
Vanhood tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tweedie paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Vanhood goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tweedie prevents it.
Vanhood is breathing heavily.

Tweedie breaks the clinch.

Vanhood throws a push kick but Tweedie slaps the foot to one side.
Tweedie misses with a shot to the body
and Vanhood counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tweedie. Vanhood does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vanhood closes the distance and clinches up with Tweedie, looking for a takedown. Vanhood pushes Tweedie against the cage but Tweedie circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Vanhood throws a push kick but Tweedie slaps the foot to one side.
A jab from Tweedie does it's job there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tweedie misses with a series of wild punches.
A solid leg kick lands there for Tweedie.
Nice body punch from Tweedie.
Tweedie cracks Vanhood with a good jab.


The cut above Robin Vanhood's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Vanhood takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Vanhood takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Tweedie changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Tweedie moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.


Robin Vanhood's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Robin Vanhood's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Callum Tweedie!
Callum Tweedie gave a mention to Milwaukee's Best Nutrition in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
