Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dragos Podgaetschii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakob Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas has chosen Linkin Park - Hit the Floor as his entrance music. Dragos Podgaetschii has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Podgaetschii gets a takedown into half guard.
Podgaetschii will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Thomas is trying to stand.
Podgaetschii is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Podgaetschii passes to full mount!

Podgaetschii looking to secure an arm triangle but Thomas defends it well.

Podgaetschii cracks Thomas with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Podgaetschii wants to control the pace but Thomas is squirming around nicely.
Podgaetschii really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Thomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Podgaetschii. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Thomas is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Podgaetschii locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Thomas is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dragos Podgaetschii!
A relieved looking Dragos Podgaetschii thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Jakob Thomas stepped up to the mic, saying 'NO COMMENT.'.
