9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, J J Tucker! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chamakh checks a leg kick. Tucker tries to land a front kick but Chamakh steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. An inside leg kick from Tucker misses. Tucker tries to score with a low kick but Chamakh moves his leg out of the way. Tucker lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. We've been hearing reports that Chamakh has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Tucker looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Tucker has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Chamakh is landing a low percentage of strikes. Tucker throws an overhand right that lands on Chamakh's shoulder, as Chamakh tries to avoid the shot. Tucker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tucker fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Chamakh has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Tucker cracks the inside of Chamakh's front leg. Tucker misses with a shot to the body and Chamakh counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Chamakh throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tucker works some decent striking defense from the bottom. This has been an exciting period of action! Chamakh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chamakh in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chamakh with a flurry of punches that miss. Chamakh throws an elbow that misses. Tucker uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chamakh's guard. Nice move by Tucker! Chamakh trying to control the position.
Chamakh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tucker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Chamakh trying to strike off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chamakh thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Good agility. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tucker keeping moving, preventing Chamakh from controlling successfully. Chamakh postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chamakh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Tucker avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Chamakh throws a big right hand that misses. That was a close round but I would say that Karim Chamakh will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Tucker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Chamakh manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Tucker throws a body punch but Chamakh moves out of range. Tucker throws a leg kick and Chamakh counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Chamakh working the head and body with strikes. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Tucker throws a sloppy head kick and Chamakh moves out of range easily. Tucker misses with a leg kick. Tucker misses with a leg kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chamakh blocks a low kick nicely. And that's the end of the fight! Karim Chamakh showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chamakh, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
