Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hjalmar Soderberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jia O Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying O Connor's choice of entrance music: Parkway Drive - Feed them to the pigs. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hjalmar Soderberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jia O Connor!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soderberg throws a hook to the side of O Connor's head but O Connor sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Soderberg throws a leg kick but O Connor moved away.
O Connor fails in his attempt to clinch.
O Connor throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Soderberg sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Soderberg throws a predictable looking body shot
and O Connor counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Soderberg's guard now.
O Connor must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Soderberg is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Soderberg looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
O Connor trying to control but Soderberg is working from the bottom.
Soderberg looking to hit a scissor sweep but O Connor is one step ahead there.
Soderberg is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and O Connor defends well.

O Connor got a little sloppy there for a moment and Soderberg has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, O Connor has managed to get both his arms back between Soderberg's legs - danger averted.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Hjalmar Soderberg will probably get the nod.

Hjalmar Soderberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
O Connor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Soderberg paws at him with a jab and circles away.

O Connor displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Soderberg.

A looping hook to the body misses from Soderberg. O Connor does a little dance to reset his feet.

O Connor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Soderberg moves away.

Soderberg misses with an attempted mid kick.
O Connor lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
O Connor scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
O Connor buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Soderberg looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
O Connor lands a head shot.
Soderberg shoots in looking for a takedown but O Connor manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Soderberg's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
O Connor is looking to clinch.

Soderberg throws a nice outside leg kick.
Soderberg steps to the side to avoid the strikes from O Connor.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Soderberg's jab looks to have found its range, popping O Connor under the eye.
We've been told by Soderberg's head coaches at The Stray Dogs that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
O Connor takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Soderberg throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A solid leg kick lands there for Soderberg.
O Connor loads up on a big right hand but Soderberg slips the punch.
No luck for Soderberg with that takedown attempt.

Soderberg lands a slapping body shot.
O Connor misses with a wild combination.
Soderberg throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The fighters circle momentarily. O Connor darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Soderberg tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but O Connor swivels and escapes.

Soderberg feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits O Connors jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Jia O Connor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Soderberg takes a body punch but keeps moving.
O Connor moves out of range as Soderberg throws a body kick.
O Connor swings for the body but Soderberg moves out of range.

Jia O Connor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Soderberg is defended easily by O Connor.
Soderberg stuns O Connor with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
O Connor fakes the leg kick and cracks Soderberg in the body.
Soderberg throws a push kick but O Connor slaps the foot to one side.
O Connor cracks Soderberg with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
O Connor lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Soderberg is rocked!

O Connor ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Oh Soderberg is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
O Connor cracks Soderberg with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Soderberg falls to his knees and O Connor doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jia O Connor!
A relieved looking Jia O Connor thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Hjalmar Soderberg was interviewed post fight and said 'Listen...need to start thinking about my future. Can't keep taking punishment at this rate.'.
