The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Armstrong. Hurjjan sneaks out the side door and pushes Armstrong away - he's back to his feet. Armstrong has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hurjjan's face.

Armstrong wants to finish this one by submission but Hurjjan is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Armstrong. Hurjjan seems to have recovered his senses. Armstrong looking for a guillotine from mount but Hurjjan is having none of it. Hurjjan is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Armstrong is working for a guillotine from mount but Hurjjan frees his head quite easily.

Craig Armstrong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hurjjan keeping moving, preventing Armstrong from controlling successfully. Armstrong showing good wrestling skills to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
