Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gilberto Todd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Davidson!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davidson misses with a head kick.

Davidson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Todd's half guard.

Todd pushes Davidson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Todd takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Davidson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Todd tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Davidson is in Todd's guard.
Davidson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Todd swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Todd has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Todd is on top in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davidson can do anything to dispel that myth.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Todd accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Davidson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Davidson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
