Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knock Out (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Jack has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ivan Jack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Knock Out!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Ron Honeybunn and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Out has his takedown stuffed
and Jack counters with a three punch combo that has Out backing up. Out nods at Jack to acknowledge the strikes.
Out tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Jack moves into the clinch.

Jack works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Jack has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Jack wants to stand but Out has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Out not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Out is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Out is trying to control the position from the bottom.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jack accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Out is trying to keep Jack in close.
Jack trying to control but Out is working from the bottom.
Out looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jack looking to sit in guard and control but Out gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Out stands and throws Jack's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Jack is looking for a sweep.
Out is looking to take a break and control but Jack is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jack can't do much from the bottom here.
Jack is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Jack gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Out punching from mount but Jack doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Out trying to control but Jack is having none of it.
Out throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jack because Out loaded up on that one.
Jack tries to reverse the position but Out maintains control.

Out can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jack is looking to escape.
Out lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Jack holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Out tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Out misses with a head shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Knock Out dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Out swings widly with a right hand

and Jack holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Jack taking a breather.
Out jumps guard but Jack turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Out is looking to control Jack's arms but Jack gets an underhook and turns him. Now Out has his back to the cage.

Jack escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jack swats away the attempt to clinch by Out.
Jack gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Jack closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jack lands in his opponent's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jack working some strikes from top position.
Out throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Out keeping moving, preventing Jack from controlling successfully.
Jack content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Out looking to control.

Out is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Out looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Out is trying to keep Jack in close.
Jack wants to stand but Out is controlling his posture from full guard.
Out is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Out looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Out trying to keep a closed guard but Jack is proving a slippery customer.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Knock Out wasn't active enough on the ground.
Out misses with a takedown

and Jack counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Out is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Jack postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Out is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jack, into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Out trying to control but Jack is working from the bottom.
Out is looking to work some ground and pound but Jack has wrist control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Out wants to control from the top but Jack keeps moving.

Jack has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Out can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ivan Jack dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Out shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jack but Jack pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Out with a lazy takedown attempt

and Jack counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Out drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jack gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Ivan Jack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Knock Out.
Out tries to score a body lock takedown but Jack shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Jack content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Jack obliges.

Jack escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jack takes the fight into the clinch.

Jack gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Jack postures up.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Out is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Knock Out.

Jack shoots in and bounces Out off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Out working a defensive guard here.
Jack stands up over Out, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Jack stays in close to Out's body and controls the position.

Out escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jack gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jack shoots in but Out avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jack stuffs the takedown attempt from Out. Out gets slowly back to his feet.

Jack clinches up against the cage.

Jack works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Out utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Jack postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Out not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Out can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jack controls the pace.
Jack trying to control the position from guard on top but Out is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ivan Jack showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Jack has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
