The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Politoni closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gregory's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Politoni working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gregory's head.
Gregory has momentary wrist control but Politoni slips an elbow through the middle.
Politoni must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Politoni throws an elbow that misses. Gregory uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Politoni's guard. Nice move by Gregory!
Gregory stops Politoni from standing up.

Gregory drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gregory jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Politoni is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gregory postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Politoni is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gregory, into his guard.
