Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Urijah Paris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukas Ioannou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Lukas Ioannou was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ioannou looks for a takedown but Paris sprawls well.
Paris closes the distance looking to clinch
and Ioannou counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ioannou closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Paris quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ioannou lands with a punch from half guard.
Paris is looking to improve his position.
Ioannou wants to pass the guard but Paris is defending well.
Ground and pound from Ioannou.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ioannou is looking for a kimura but Paris is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ioannou to get the leverage.
Paris is trying to stand.
Ioannou winds up and cracks Paris with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Nice strikes from Ioannou there.
Paris wants to control but Ioannou passes into side.
Ioannou lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Ioannou is working to tighten his grip on Paris's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Paris has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ioannou is really squeezing tight and eventually Paris passes out! Ioannou breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Lukas Ioannou!
After winning the bout, Lukas Ioannou thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
