The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by McGregor or perhaps it was just good defense by Foster which made him look bad. Foster throws a right and a left that both miss. McGregor trying to control the pace. Foster on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Foster tries to get out of the position. Let's hope that McGregor has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. McGregor prevents Foster from improving his position. McGregor controlling the action here. McGregor stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Foster to get to his feet. Foster is breathing heavily.

Foster throws a right and a left that McGregor avoids nicely. McGregor closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Foster has hold of McGregor 's hands but McGregor slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! McGregor looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Foster with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Well, if McGregor is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
McGregor seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Foster is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Mark McGregor !
